London Man Jailed for Running Drug Empire to Hastings

Joel Henry, 40, from Lambeth, has been locked up after a Chichester Crown Court jury found him guilty of supplying crack cocaine and heroin. The Londoner made regular trips to Hastings, selling dangerous Class A drugs as part of a sophisticated network targeting vulnerable locals.

Burner Phones, Bulk Texts & County Lines

Henry’s operation was busted after his November 8 arrest in St Leonards. Evidence showed he travelled frequently between London and Hastings, using a burner phone to send mass texts to potential buyers. Prosecutors revealed his aggressive marketing tactics for heroin and crack cocaine, helping seal his conviction after a four-day trial.

Police Crack Down on County Lines Dealers

Investigator Julian Stokes of Project ADDER praised the joint force effort involving Met Police, Sussex, and Surrey officers. He said: “This was another successful joint investigation to take a drug dealer peddling dangerous Class A drugs off the streets of Hastings and St Leonards.”

Henry had two previous Class A convictions, meaning he faced a mandatory seven-year sentence this time around. Stokes warned: “We will continue to identify County Lines operators and stop them. The sentencing of Henry shows how seriously the courts treat those dealing hard drugs on our streets.”

Keeping Hastings Safe from Out-of-Town Dealers

The case highlights ongoing police efforts to protect Hastings communities from exploitation by drug gangs coming in from outside. Authorities vow to keep cracking down on dangerous dealers and their networks.
