The London Fire Brigade was scrambled at 1:04 AM after reports of a fierce fire tearing through the end-of-terrace home. Crews from Southgate, Finchley, and Hornsey stations burst onto the scene, battling heavy smoke and scorching flames that gutted the ground and first floors.

Wearing breathing apparatus, heroic firefighters rescued a man using a fire escape hood, carrying him down an internal staircase. Paramedics rushed two men to hospital, but sadly, one later succumbed to his injuries.

Firefighters left the scene just after 2:30 AM, but the cause of the devastating blaze remains unknown. Both the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police are investigating to uncover what sparked the deadly fire.
