A man has been convicted of murdering Bristol teenager Eddie Kinuthia after a jury at Bristol Crown Court found him guilty. Zacharia Talbert-Young was one of two men who rode an e-bike from Easton to St Pauls and fatally stabbed Eddie as part of a violent postcode feud.

Eddie King was stabbed five times just before 11pm on July 21, 2023, in Grosvenor Triangle, St Pauls—only yards from his home. The attack shocked the local community and highlighted the ongoing postcode rivalry fueling violence in the area.
Further Charges and Trial Outcomes
Talbert-Young and another man, Paul Hayden, were also convicted of attempted murder seven months later. Both had been arrested on suspicion of Eddie’s murder but weren’t charged at the time. Meanwhile, a third man, Remi Hitchcock—Talbert-Young’s cousin—was found not guilty of assisting an offender. The key evidence included the high-powered e-bike used in the murder, which came from Hitchcock’s backyard. Though it was claimed he helped dispose of the bike shortly after the killing, the jury unanimously cleared him of the charge.
This verdict marks a significant moment in Bristol’s fight against violent crime linked to postcode disputes.
