Police have hauled in a lorry driver after a tragic crash on the M20 claimed the life of a “wonderful” dad-of-two, described as a “pillar of the community.”

Crash Claims Life of Ashford Dad, 36

Arran McManus, 36, was driving his black Nissan Qashqai when it slammed into two lorries—a white Scania articulated and a white MAN—on the London-bound M20 near Lenham.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene between junctions 9 and 8 early Tuesday morning. Sadly, Arran was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses. Anyone who saw the incident or the vehicles beforehand should call 01622 798538 or email [email protected], quoting reference EW/JG/080/25.

M20 Chaos and Emergency Response

The motorway was shut for hours after the multi-vehicle collision. At least 10 ambulances, six police cars, and 11 fire engines were spotted at the scene. The coastbound carriageway was also temporarily closed to allow an air ambulance to land.
