A vehicle fire has forced the complete closure of the A27 eastbound between the A284 (Crossbush) and the A280 (Clapham) in West Sussex. Drivers are facing major delays this morning.
Firefighters Battle Blaze
Sussex Fire & Rescue crews are currently on scene, working hard to put out the burning car. Sussex Police are managing traffic and keeping the situation under control.
Expect Lengthy Delays – Follow Diversions
Eastbound traffic is being diverted using the hollow diamond symbol on road signs. Here’s the official diversion route:
- Leave the A27 at Crossbush, take the A284 southbound towards the A259.
- Turn eastbound onto the A259 at the junction and continue to the A280.
- Take the A280 eastbound to rejoin the A27 at Clapham.
Travel Tips
If your journey involves this stretch of the A27, prepare for delays. Consider rerouting or delaying your trip to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
