A man in his 40s was stabbed near Queen’s Row, Arnside Street, at around 4.30pm yesterday (March 4).
Injuries Not Serious, Suspect Arrested
Officers and paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital. His injuries are not serious, police say. Minutes later, a 39-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 16:26hrs on Wednesday, 4 March following reports that a man had been stabbed on Arnside Street, Walworth,” a Met Police spokesperson said.
“A 39-year-old man was arrested at 16:33hrs near the scene and remains in police custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 5477/4MARCH, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
