Detectives have opened a murder investigation following the death of a 71-year-old woman in Hounslow.
Tragic Scene on Bath Road
Police were called just after 10am on Sunday, 1 March, to a residential address on Bath Road where a woman was found seriously injured. London Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to the scene alongside officers, but despite their best efforts, the elderly woman was pronounced dead at the property.
Full Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers. A crime scene remains sealed as detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command dig deeper into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby said: “This is a tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life. We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened and are pursuing all lines of inquiry. We urge anyone in the Bath Road area who saw or heard anything unusual to come forward. Even the smallest detail could be vital.”
