Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in Henley-on-Thames early this morning.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
At around 7:50am on Friday 6 March 2026, officers were called to Phyllis Court Drive. A 44-year-old man from the town was arrested and remains in custody.
Police Urge Calm and Cooperation
A crime scene is in place, with a heavy police presence expected while detectives carry out their enquiries. The victim has not yet been formally identified.
Detective Inspector Rob Underhill said: “The investigation is still in early stages; however, an arrest has been made. We are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident. There is no risk to the wider public.”
“Members of the public will see an increased police presence. We advise anyone with concerns to speak with uniformed officers.”
