A 31-year-old man with no fixed address has been locked up for 14 years after a jury found him guilty of raping a teenage girl. Daniel Bee was convicted at Taunton Crown Court, sitting at North Somerset Courthouse, following a chilling trial.

Shocking Crimes Uncovered

In January 2025, police found Bee with the victim in a caravan. The week before, officers had discovered her in his hotel room. After she bravely came forward, the full scale of Bee’s horrific offences came to light.

Victim’s Heartbreaking Statement

“I feel numb… it all repeats in my head and I want to move on, or at least try, but I’m always brought back to square one. I’m constantly on edge, like what if he finds me and does it again, or worse. I will never look at a man the same way again. He is a vile man. He should be locked up forever.”

Judge Delivers Harsh Sentence

His Honour Judge Climie slammed Bee’s actions as “wholly warped” and sentenced him to 14 years in custody. This includes 13 years for rape, nine months for stalking, two months for dangerous driving, and one month for breaching bail conditions.

Bee must serve an additional four years on licence and is under a lifelong restraining order. The judge warned: “You pose a significant risk.”

Avon & Somerset Police praised the victim’s courage and stressed their commitment to protecting vulnerable people.
