Fast Action Saves the Day
Just after midnight on 18 March, the London Ambulance Service was called to a serious road traffic collision on Church Road, Croydon.
Multiple Emergency Units Rush to the Scene
The response was swift and comprehensive. An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a rapid response car, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer all raced to the site. Reinforcements included a paramedic and a doctor from the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance team.
Patient Given Immediate Care and Rushed to Hospital
The first paramedic was on scene in just five minutes. Emergency teams treated a patient at the scene before rushing him to a major trauma centre for urgent care.
London Ambulance Service spokesperson: “We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
