Citizen journalism has its heroes, but recent revelations have spotlighted some troubling characters lurking in the crowds. These so-called auditors have gained sizeable followings online — yet their pasts suggest a darker side. We’ve compiled a list of names you’ll want to steer clear of. A quick Google search shows their histories are well-documented in the public domain.
Top Troublemakers, You Need to Know
DJE Media (aka Curtis Arnold / Daniel James Edwards) — A YouTube star boasting 243k subscribers as of October 2025. Convicted in 2019 at Harrow Crown Court for 12 serious offences including fraud, voyeurism, causing sexual activity, and making indecent images of a child. He’s subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and stays on the Sex Offenders Register. Court transcripts reveal at least one victim was just 17.
- AJ Audits (Anthony Styles) — Convicted child sex offender, guilty of indecent assault on girls under 14. Registered on the Sex Offenders Register for life. Shockingly, he still turns up at events with children present.
- Auditing Lancashire (Kevin Brown) — A Blackburn dad was jailed for the violent abuse of his five-month-old son, who suffered broken legs and a fractured rib.
- PJ Audits (Peter Allsop, Worksop) — Former driving instructor jailed in August 2023 for stalking and harassing a vulnerable 17-year-old former pupil who previously lived with him while in care. Possible further convictions remain unconfirmed.
