Violent Assault Shakes Small Heath Community

West Midlands Police have jailed a man following a vicious knife attack in Small Heath. On 9 August last year, two men arrived outside a property on Monica Road at around 6pm. They targeted a man sitting on a quad bike, pushing him to the ground and slashing him multiple times with a flick knife. Thankfully, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

First Attacker Sent Down – Second Still On The Run

After a swift investigation, detectives identified Taylor Burns and Jafir Nazir as the culprits. Burns, 26, from Sutton Coldfield, admitted to wounding with intent and possession of a knife. He was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars on 16 March.

£5,000 Crimestoppers Reward for Jafir Nazir

Jafir Nazir, 29, remains at large and is wanted for attempted murder. Crimestoppers is now offering a hefty £5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. The charity promises complete anonymity – no personal details are shared.

“Speak up, stay safe. Make a difference,” said a Crimestoppers spokesperson.

To claim the reward, call Crimestoppers directly on 0800 555 111 or visit their website. Remember, only info given to the charity, not the police, qualifies for the reward.
