Tucker’s Stunning Public Apology
In a jaw-dropping confession, former Fox News star Tucker Carlson apologised for backing Donald Trump’s rise to power. On Monday’s episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, Tucker admitted he feels “tormented” by his role and took full responsibility for helping fuel what he now calls a “deeply troubling presidency.” Talking candidly with his brother Buckley Carlson, a former Trump speechwriter, Tucker said: “You wrote speeches for him, I campaigned for him. We’re implicated in this, for sure. It’s not enough to say, ‘Well, I changed my mind.’ … you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.” He then directly apologised to his audience: “I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people, and it was not intentional. That’s all I’ll say.” He added that the guilt would “torment” him for a long time.
From Ally to Adversary: The Fallout with Trump
This public mea culpa comes amid a bitter falling out between Carlson and Trump. Last week, Tucker suggested Trump might be the “antichrist” after the president posted AI-generated images on Truth Social showing himself alongside Jesus Christ. Citing Bible passages about a “man of lawlessness” who “exalts himself over everything,” Carlson told viewers: “Here is a leader who is mocking the Gods of his ancestors, mocking the God of Gods, and exalting himself above them. Could this be the antichrist?”
Trump Fires Back with Brutal Insults
Trump didn’t hold back. He slammed Carlson as “low IQ,” lumping him with Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones in a savage Truth Social post: “They have one thing in common — Low IQs. They’re stupid people.” Days later, Trump doubled down, calling Carlson a “LOSER” and suggesting he “should see a good psychiatrist.”
Magnetic MAGA Rift
The bitter split between Carlson and Trump — once top voices of the MAGA movement — is one of the most explosive political ruptures of Trump’s second term. With insults flying and apologies aired, the bitter saga is far from over.
