Pamela Martin, 44, a teaching assistant at a South Yorkshire school, has been sentenced to seven years in jail for creating indecent images of pupils and sharing them with her partner, Christopher O’Kane, 41, from Scunthorpe. Both were convicted of multiple child sex offences following an investigation by Humberside Police.
Shocking School Abuse
Martin exploited her position in the school to produce indecent images involving children she was supposed to safeguard. The images were found on her devices during a police search.
Crimes Court
The offences came to light when O’Kane was arrested on 10 December 2025 after police discovered online messages showing sexual interest in children. Subsequent device searches revealed conversations with Martin and incriminating material.
Harsh Sentences And Orders
At Grimsby Crown Court, the judge jailed both Martin and O’Kane for seven years and imposed indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Orders. They are required to remain on the sex offenders register for life.
Force Statement On Justice
Det Con Helena Allison of Humberside Police said: “Martin and O’Kane are perverted criminals, and I am reassured that they are now behind bars. I hope the sentence given today sends a clear message that we will not tolerate anyone preying on children for their own sick sexual gratification. If you commit child sex offences, we will do everything in our power to bring you to justice for your crimes.”
