Two teenage boys have been arrested after a 15-year-old girl reported being raped in a park in Bradford. West Yorkshire Police said the alleged incident happened at around 6pm on Wednesday, 5 August, in Pitt Hill Park, in the Holme Wood area of the city. Police launched an investigation after receiving the report, with officers attending the park and a cordon put in place while enquiries were carried out. Two boys, aged 16 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody. The 15-year-old girl is being supported by specially trained officers. Detectives from the Bradford District Safeguarding Unit are leading the investigation and are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the alleged incident to come forward. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “A report was received of a 15-year-old girl being raped in Pitt Hill Park at around 6pm on Wednesday. “Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in custody. The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.” Police activity continued in and around the park as officers carried out searches and enquiries.
