Man Found Dead in Forster Park Shocks Lewisham

A 45-year-old man was found unresponsive and declared dead at Forster Park, SE6, on Monday afternoon, April 8. Emergency services rushed to the scene but could not save him.

The Metropolitan Police were called at 4.42pm after reports of a man in distress. Paramedics and ambulances arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead on-site.

“We were called to Forster Park, SE6 at 16:42hrs after a 45-year-old man was found non-responsive. Ambulances attended, sadly he was declared dead at the scene,” confirmed a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.

Death Treated as Non-Suspicious

Police say the death is not considered suspicious and are preparing a file for HM’s Coroner. The exact cause remains unknown as investigations continue.

“The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are being treated as non-suspicious,” the spokesperson added.
