Armed cops stop taxi, seize revolver
Armed officers made a swift move on Tuesday, 14 July, when they stopped a taxi on Southwark Park Road, SE16. Inside, two men were caught red-handed with a concealed revolver wrapped in a bandana.
Two men, both 22, in custody
The pair, both aged 22 and passengers in the taxi, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The gun was made safe and sent for forensic testing. The suspects remain held at a south London police station.
