Tragic Crash in Plumstead: Boy, 8, Killed on Pedestrian Crossing

Heartbreak hit Plumstead Road last Sunday evening when a motorbike smashed into three pedestrians on a busy crossing near Lenton Street at around 7:30pm.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

London’s police, ambulance, and the air ambulance all scrambled to the horrific scene. Despite frantic efforts, an eight-year-old boy tragically died on the spot.

Specialist officers are supporting the young boy’s family during this unimaginably painful time.

Other Victims Fighting for Life

  • A man in his 40s, crossing with the boy, was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.
  • A ten-year-old kid, also hit, is now stable but suffered serious injuries.

Motorcyclist Arrested for Dangerous Driving

The 20-year-old rider was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries. He’s since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
