Tragic Stabbing in East London: 80-Year-Old Woman Dies
Police were called just before 10am on Saturday, 2 April, after a woman was found with stab wounds at a home on Landseer Avenue, E12.
Emergency teams, including London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, 80-year-old Shotera Bibi was pronounced dead at the property.
Man Arrested Nearby
Ms Bibi lived at the address where the incident took place. Her family has been informed, and a post-mortem is scheduled for Sunday, 3 April.
Police launched an urgent investigation, searching the local area. A man in his 30s, known to the victim, was arrested close by and is now in custody.
Met Police Hunt for Witnesses
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime (Homicide) unit are leading the probe. They are working to piece together what happened.
