Young Man Fatally Stabbed in Bolton Double Attack
Just before 6.40pm on Saturday 11 December 2021, police rushed to Battenberg Road, Bolton, following reports of a stabbing. Emergency crews found 25-year-old Tyrone Williamson, who was rushed to hospital but sadly died.
Second Stabbing Linked to Tragic Murder
Less than two hours later, officers were called to another stabbing near Lincoln Road, Bolton. A 41-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital. He remains stable but was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Arrests Made Amid Ongoing Investigation
- A 27-year-old man was arrested for assault and is still in custody.
- A 21-year-old woman was also arrested but later released without charge.
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Clegg of GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “This was a tragic incident where a young man has sadly lost his life. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
He added: “Our investigation is very much ongoing and a number of lines of enquiry are already being followed up. We urge anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to contact us on 0161 856 7382.”
