Teen Stabbed to Death in Sydenham – Murder Probe Underway

A 19-year-old man has been fatally stabbed in Sydenham, sparking a murder investigation. Police rushed to Miall Walk, SE26, just after 9.30pm on Friday, 25 June, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers found the victim with serious stab wounds and began first aid at the scene. Despite efforts from the London Ambulance Service, the young man died shortly afterwards. His family have been informed, though formal identification is pending. A post-mortem is planned.

Homicide Detectives Lead Grim Inquiry

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched a full murder investigation. No arrests have been made yet. Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood said:

“Met officers have been working through the night to start a rigorous investigation into this young man’s death. Police remain at the scene conducting a painstaking forensic search. The victim’s mother has visited and is being supported. My heart goes out to her as she faces life without her son. I am fully committed to catching those responsible and bringing them to justice.”
