Five-Year-Old Girl Dies in Tragic Leyborne Avenue Incident
Police were called at 12:56pm on Tuesday, 14 September after concerns for the welfare of residents at a home on Leyborne Avenue, W13.
Officers and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. Despite their desperate efforts, a five-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the property.
Woman Arrested on Murder Suspicion
A 31-year-old woman, known to the child, was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.
The girl’s next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem will be carried out soon.
Met Police Launch Homicide Probe
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the inquiry. Enquiries are ongoing as officers piece together what happened.
