Cop Stabbed in Knife Attack After Foiling Westminster Robbery
A brave policewoman was stabbed in the abdomen while stopping a knife robbery in Westminster on Sunday afternoon.
Knife-Wielding Thugs Target Grocery Store
At around 3.42pm on 4 October, two officers—one male, one female—spotted two men armed with knives trying to rob a local grocery store on Chapter Street, SW1.
The shopkeeper had already pushed the suspects out onto the street when the officers moved in to arrest them.
Injured Officer Keeps Chase Alive
Despite being stabbed, the female officer refused to back down. She gave chase along Vauxhall Bridge Road until firearms officers helped detain the suspects shortly after.
The injured officer was rushed to hospital, with officials confirming her wounds are not life-threatening.
Police Praise Officer’s Courage
Chief Inspector Simon Brooker said: “This shows exactly the kind of danger officers face every day protecting the public.
“For this officer to be stabbed on duty is unacceptable but, thankfully, she does not appear seriously hurt.
“Her bravery in responding to this call is outstanding—typical of Met officers as they carry out their duties.”
