Tram Stabbing Tragedy: Man Killed Near Highbury Vale

Kyle Knowles, 32, from Sherwood, was fatally stabbed on a tram near Highbury Vale stop at 11.10am on Monday, 26 June. The shocking attack sent shockwaves through the local community.

Suspect Arrested and Released – Now Back in Custody

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He suffered hand injuries and was hospitalised but later discharged. The suspect has been recalled to prison and is now on police bail as detectives dig deeper into what happened.

“A dedicated team of detectives are continuing to work extremely hard on this investigation and are building up a picture of what happened on the morning of 26 June,” said Detective Chief Inspector Clare Dean.

“Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of Mr Knowles and all those affected by this incident. We will continue to provide support and reassurance. We ask the public to respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time.”
