Severe Injuries After Pedestrian Hit by Bus in Wolverhampton
Emergency services rushed to Blaydon Road, Wolverhampton, following a collision between a bus and an elderly pedestrian at 4.48pm.
Ambulance and Critical Care Teams Respond
The West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched one ambulance, a paramedic officer, and the Midland Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene.
Elderly Woman Left Seriously Injured
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “On arrival crews discovered an elderly woman who was the pedestrian.”
She added: “She was assessed at the scene and had sustained serious injuries. She received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene and treatment continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
Bus Passengers Unharmed
Thankfully, no one from the bus needed medical attention following the accident.
