Girl Hospitalised After Hit-and-Run on Green Lanes, Dagenham
A teenage girl suffered severe injuries in a shocking hit-and-run on Green Lanes, Dagenham, Friday evening (19 January 2024). The motorbike rider fled the scene, leaving the victim badly hurt.
Witnesses Describe Scene as Rider Escapes
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the motorbike strike the girl before speeding off. Emergency services rushed to the scene to tend to her. The victim’s identity remains confidential while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Community Sends Support, Police Hunt Rider
Locals have flooded social media with messages wishing the girl a speedy recovery. Mandie Davis, the victim’s aunt, confirmed her niece is in stable condition but suffered severe injuries. She pleaded for witnesses to come forward.
“Thank you to everyone for your concern,” Mandie said. “If anyone saw anything, please contact the police.”
The Met Police are scouring the area for CCTV footage and urge anyone with information on the incident or the getaway rider to get in touch immediately.
