Stabbing Outside Southampton Pub Sparks Police Hunt

Worrying scenes unfolded outside the Pig and Whistle pub in Shirley, Southampton, in the early hours of Saturday 22 July. Between midnight and 2am, three men stepped out of a Y-reg Peugeot and launched a brutal attack on a man and woman.

Man Seriously Stabbed, Woman Injured

The 53-year-old man was left with serious stab wounds – thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening. The 28-year-old woman suffered minor injuries during the assault.

Phones Stolen, Suspects Arrested

The pair also had their mobile phones stolen during the violent encounter. Police have arrested three suspects connected to the attack: two 45-year-old men from Southampton and a 52-year-old man with no fixed address. All remain in custody.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers are on the lookout for anyone who saw what happened or has information about the suspects or the incident. The getaway car has been described as a white Y-reg Peugeot.
