Kent Police made a shocking discovery when they found thousands of pounds stuffed inside a washing machine during a raid in Folkestone.
Money Laundering Investigation Leads to Big Haul
Officers raided a property on Ilex Road at 8am on Wednesday, 19 February 2020. The search was part of an ongoing probe into money laundering by the Economic Crime Unit.
Alongside the cash, detectives seized crystalware, jewellery, and a Rolex watch. These items are all suspected to be tied to criminal activity.
Woman Arrested but Released Pending Enquiries
A 22-year-old woman from Folkestone was arrested in connection with the find. She has since been released while investigations continue.
