Police Hunt Owners of Mystery Dogs After Alpacas and Sheep Brutally Killed Near Nettlestead

Alpacas and Sheep Attacked in Dead of Night

Kent Police’s Rural Task Force is on the case after a string of shocking attacks left multiple animals dead near Nettlestead. Overnight between August 16 and 17, 2022, two sheep were found dead and ten others injured in a field close to Maidstone Road.

The horror didn’t end there. Just a couple of nights later, between August 18 and 19, two alpacas were savagely attacked nearby and sadly died from their injuries.

Police Appeal for Dog Owners to Come Forward

Police Sergeant Darren Walshaw urged the public for help: “We are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to call our appeal line.”

As part of their enquiries, officers are particularly keen to find the owners of two dogs, described as dark and light coloured lurchers, spotted roaming unsupervised in the area around the time of the attacks.
