Tragic Crash Claims Life Outside Weston Cider Plant

A man has died after the van he was driving crashed into a barrier near the Weston Cider plant in Much Marcle, close to Ledbury.

Emergency Teams Race to Scene

The distress call came through just after 10.30am on Monday. An ambulance, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham — staffed with a doctor and critical care paramedic — were dispatched immediately. A second BASICS emergency doctor also joined the rescue effort.

Driver Trapped and Life Saved Attempts Fail

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews found the man trapped inside his van.”

“Ambulance staff worked alongside firefighters to swiftly free the man. They then launched advanced life support procedures without delay.”

“Despite their relentless efforts, sadly, they were unable to save him. He was confirmed dead at the scene.”
