Knife Scare at Bushy Park on Christmas Eve

Police rushed to Bushy Park near Kingston Bridge after reports of a man wielding a knife sparked panic on December 24, 2024, around 2:25pm.

Park Area Cordoned Off Amid Search

Officers arrived near 1 Park Mews, Hampton Hill, to investigate the alarm. A suspect was reportedly seen carrying a blade, sending nearby visitors into a frenzy. Cops swiftly sealed off part of the park close to the Kingston Bridge entrance in a bid to track down the man.

So far, no arrests have been confirmed and it’s unclear if the suspect is still on the loose.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Met urges anyone with info or who spotted suspicious activity to call 101 immediately. They are keen to piece together what happened before Christmas Eve dimmed into night.

Latest: Suspect Still Missing

By 3:30pm, a Met Police spokesperson revealed: “Police were called at about 2.15pm on Tuesday, 24 December to reports of a man believed to be damaging a tree with a knife in Bushy Park. Officers attended and carried out a thorough search of the area but with no trace.”
