Blaze Rips Through Folkestone Home, Forces Evacuations
A fierce fire tore through a property in Folkestone this afternoon, sending flames shooting into the sky. The blaze broke out just after 2pm on Monday in Wear Bay Crescent, sparking a major emergency response.
Eight Fire Engines and Aerial Ladder Rush to Scene
Fire crews from across Kent raced to the scene with eight appliances from Dover and Folkestone. An aerial ladder platform was also deployed as firefighters in breathing gear battled the flames.
The road has been shut and nearby homes evacuated as the fire threatened to spread. Two pensioners were led to safety by the fire service.
Firefighters Fight to Stop Blaze Spreading

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Firefighters remain at the scene of a fire affecting three domestic properties on Wear Bay Crescent in Folkestone. They are using hose reels, foam, and water from hydrants to reduce the spread.”
