Police Raid Uncovers Massive Cannabis Grow in Ivy Lane
Just after 1.15am on Wednesday, 30 June 2021, officers rushed to a disturbance outside a property in Ivy Lane. Their quick actions led to a major bust.
20 Giant Cannabis Plants Found
Inside the building, police discovered around 20 large cannabis plants hidden in one of the rooms. The haul could have been worth a fortune on the streets.
Two Men Arrested, Now Under Investigation
A 56-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were detained on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. Both have since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police Urge Public to Report Drug Activity
Detective Sergeant Vanessa Law from Kent Police’s CID said: “The alertness of officers attending this incident has led to the seizure of cannabis, which could have been sold for criminal gain.”
She added: “If you suspect drugs are being sold or produced in your area, please report it to Kent Police through our website, by calling 101, or dial 999 if a crime is in progress.”
