Chaos in Swansea: Cars Torched and Rioters Clash with Police
Mayhem erupted in Swansea on Thursday night as crowds cheered and chanted while a car was shoved down a steep hill into bollards and another was set ablaze. One shocking photo captured two vehicles burning in the middle of the street, surrounded by thick smoke and throngs of onlookers.

Another video shows rioters hurling objects and shouting at officers retreating behind riot shields. South Wales Police confirmed late Thursday they had multiple officers tackling a large-scale disorder in the Mayhill area.
A statement at 10.45pm warned local residents to stay indoors while the situation was brought under control.
From Mourning to Mayhem
Superintendent Tim Morgan revealed the unrest began with what was believed to be a gathering to mourn a recently deceased local resident. The situation quickly spiralled into violence, widespread criminal damage, and blatant public endangerment.
