Blaze Breaks Out Above Sheffield Pizza Shop – Two Hospitalised
A fire tore through a flat above Toppolis pizza grill on City Road, Sheffield, early this morning. Flames shot from the windows, sparking a major emergency response just after 9am on October 25.
Firefighters Battle Blaze with Full Force
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue scrambled four fire engines and an aerial appliance to the scene. Videos on social media showed a fleet of fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles crowding outside the burning building.
Two Taken to Hospital with Smoke Inhalation
Crews battled the blaze until it was fully extinguished. Two people were rushed to hospital after inhaling smoke. Firefighters are now using ventilation fans to clear the lingering smoke from the premises.
Investigation Underway as Area Remains Closed
Authorities have yet to reveal the cause of the fire. Residents and passersby are urged to steer clear of the area to allow emergency services to safely wrap up operations.
