Serious Crash in Wandsworth: Elderly Man in Life-Threatening Condition

Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a nasty collision in Wandsworth left an elderly man fighting for his life.

Crash Details

Police were called at around 9.55pm on Tuesday, 15 May following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on East Hill, near the Tonsley Hill junction (SW18).

The victim, a man in his 80s, was rushed to a south London hospital. His injuries are being treated as life-threatening.

Driver Remains at Scene

The driver stopped immediately and is fully cooperating with officers. No arrests have been made yet.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of what happened in the lead up to this incident,” said Detective Constable James Ramsey from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command. “I urge anyone who witnessed this collision or who may have dash cam footage of the incident to get in touch.”
