Major Kathy Betteridge from The Salvation Army praised the police for prioritising victims despite pandemic pressures. She explained victims now receive 24/7 specialist care, safe accommodation, counselling, and help rebuilding their lives.
“If you suspect modern slavery, call our confidential helpline on 0800 808 3733,” she urged.
