Police Urgently Hunt Man Linked to Multiple Assaults
Police are on high alert after a series of attacks and are desperate for the public’s help. A man, spotted in several incidents, is now wanted for questioning.
Four Disturbing Attacks in Two Weeks
- 5 February: A woman told officers she was followed by a man in Broadhurst Place around 2pm.
- Later that day at 5.40pm in the Wickhay area, another woman reported being grabbed from behind by a man.
- 15 February: In Pamplins at 2.30pm, a woman in her 20s was assaulted by a man.
- Minutes later, just before 3pm in Nether Priors, a second woman reported a man sexually assaulted her from behind.
The descriptions match perfectly. Police believe all four incidents link to the same suspect.
Two Images Released of Possible Suspect
Detectives initially released an image on 6 February after the first two attacks. Following the latest assaults on 15 February, a new image has been issued, believed to show the same man.
Public’s Help Needed Now
Extra patrols are now underway in the affected areas. Police urge anyone who recognises the man in the images to get in touch immediately.
