Man Stabbed in Leigh Gardens – Two Arrested
Police rushed to Leigh Gardens around 9.50pm on Sunday, 27 February 2023, after reports of a stabbing. A man in his 50s was found with multiple stab wounds.
Armed officers were at the scene immediately. The victim was treated on-site before being airlifted to hospital. His condition is serious but stable, and not life-threatening.
Teen and Man Held on Attempted Murder Charges
Following a swift area search and investigations, police detained a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man. Both are held on suspicion of attempted murder.
Detective Inspector Paul Graham from Bournemouth CID confirmed, “We are working hard to establish exactly what happened through house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
“If you saw or heard anything suspicious, or have CCTV or dashcam footage, please get in touch,” DI Graham urged. “Residents can expect increased police patrols in the coming days. Our local neighbourhood policing team is available to address concerns.”
