19-Year-Old Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing of Manchester Student Luke O’Connor
Suspect Detained in Fallowfield
A 19-year-old man was arrested last night in Manchester’s Fallowfield area. He is being questioned on suspicion of murdering Luke O’Connor, a 1st-year student fatally stabbed on Wilmslow Road in the early hours.
Investigation Gathers Pace
The Major Incident Team has been hard at work since the tragedy unfolded, probing every angle to uncover the circumstances behind Luke’s death. Detectives believe Luke did not know his attacker beforehand.
Police say no other suspects are currently being sought but are urging the public to come forward with any information or footage.
