Young Man Stabbed to Death in Haringey Horror

Tragedy struck West Green Road, N15, on Monday afternoon when 21-year-old Tyreke Watson was fatally stabbed. Police were called just before 4pm, but despite emergency teams rushing to the scene, Tyreke was pronounced dead there and then.

Investigation Underway as Family Mourns

While formal ID is pending, Tyreke’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. A post-mortem is scheduled for Wednesday, 24 February.

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley vowed a swift investigation. “My team is determined to track down and arrest those responsible for this brutal stabbing,” she said. “Tyreke’s family are devastated. Anyone with info, please come forward.”

Police Boost Patrols, Urge Witnesses to Speak Out

Haringey’s local police commander, Detective Chief Superintendent Treena Fleming, condemned the “senseless stabbing” and urged locals to help. “If you saw anything, or know something, tell us,” she said.

Officers will increase high-visibility patrols and conduct weapon sweeps in the area. “If you know someone carrying a knife, report them – we want to stop this violence now,” Fleming added.

No arrests have been made yet. Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the enquiry.
