Woman Brutally Attacked in Rayleigh Nightclub
A woman was left battered after a shocking unprovoked attack inside The Pink Toothbrush nightclub in Rayleigh last night.
Out of Nowhere Assault Inside The Pink Toothbrush
Dannielle Briggs described the terrifying moment she was “punched until I fell down” before being “kicked in the face repeatedly” by a stranger. “It was completely unprovoked,” she said. The attack left her needing a hospital visit, including a CT scan and treatment for her injured ear.
Police and Public Appeal for Witnesses
Police were called to the scene and took Dannielle to hospital. She’s now urging anyone who saw the assault or recognises the attacker to come forward. “If anyone saw it or knows who the man is, I’d really appreciate any information,” she said.
Nightclub’s Troubled Past Raised Again
This isn’t the first time The Pink Toothbrush has faced trouble. In 2018, Essex Police pushed for a licence review after concerns over violence. The club’s owners responded by boosting security with more CCTV and body cams on door staff. Staff working through third-party agencies were also made to take extra training on handling physical incidents.
Despite these measures, last night’s violent assault shows issues remain.
