Warning After Animal Medication Stolen from Hampshire Vet Clinic

Police have issued a stark warning after a haul of prescription animal medication was stolen from a veterinary clinic in Hampshire overnight.

Dangerous Drug Stolen

Among the stolen items is a bottle labelled ‘Iso-Flo’, containing Isoflurane. This substance is used in animals but could cause severe, even life-threatening reactions if inhaled, swallowed, or injected by humans.

Officials stress: “Taking medications not prescribed to you, especially those intended for animals, can have serious health consequences. Seek medical help immediately if exposed.”

The Theft Details

  • The theft happened at a vet clinic on Worting Road, Basingstoke.
  • Time frame: Between 8.30pm on June 29 and 5.55am on June 30.

If anyone is offered these stolen drugs or knows of their whereabouts, they are urged to call 101 and quote reference 44200238349.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity near Worting Road overnight should also get in touch using the same number. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be made via 0800 555 111.
