Deadly Orpington Crash: Bus Driver Killed in Multi-Vehicle Smash

Detectives are hunting for witnesses and footage after a fatal smash in Orpington. The horror collision unfolded on Sevenoaks Road just after 10pm on Thursday, 31 October.

Two Buses and Car Collide – One Dead

Emergency teams rushed to the scene where two buses and a car had crashed. Tragically, Kenneth Matcham, 60, from gravesend/" title="Gravesend" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Gravesend, Kent, and bus driver, was declared dead at the scene. His family have been informed.

15 Injured, Including Serious Cases

Paramedics treated 15 casualties, three with serious injuries. The rest suffered minor wounds. The 20-year-old car driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous and drug-driving.

He was taken to hospital as a precaution before being released under investigation.

Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses

Met Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is urging anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or mobile footage, or who saw the crash to come forward.
