Keyless Car Thefts Rock Salisbury – Police Sound Alarm
Police in Salisbury are warning owners of vehicles with keyless entry systems to stay alert after a spike in recent thefts. Several high-value cars have been stolen while securely parked, with keys left inside the premises.

- Earlier, on January 31, a Ford Kuga Titanium 4×4 was snatched despite both sets of keys being locked inside the owner’s home.
- And on January 25, a tightly locked Ford Ranger XLT Thunder was taken without a trace.
Police Crackdown Underway – Victims Warned
“Reports of this nature are taken extremely seriously,” said Insp Tina Osborn. “We understand the impact vehicle theft can have on victims – it’s costly and often disrupts daily life, especially if it’s their only transport for work or family duties. Victims often feel vulnerable.”
“We are conducting extensive investigations and working with neighbouring forces. Thieves often travel far to dodge police, so we need to stay ahead.”
