Drug Bust and Firearm Seizure in Bestwood Raid
Police swooped on a Bestwood home and seized drugs along with a suspected firearm during a targeted operation by Nottinghamshire’s city north Operation Reacher team.
Officers stormed a property on Queen’s Bower Road around 9pm on Wednesday (27 July) after a tip-off revealed a known suspect was inside.
Two Arrested in Major Crackdown
A 26-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of a firearm without a permit, possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, assault causing actual bodily harm, threats to kill, criminal damage, and breach of the peace.
A 29-year-old woman was also locked up on suspicion of possessing a firearm without a permit and possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.
Further Search Nets More Class A Drugs
Following the initial raid, police carried out a second search at a house in Lytham Gardens, Rise Park. This uncovered suspected Class A drugs, adding to the haul.

“This was a great piece of proactive policing by the city north Operation Reacher team, who showed tremendous patience during the arrest,” said Detective Sergeant Katie Hurrell of Nottinghamshire Police.
“Working closely with our intelligence and response officers, we seized a suspected firearm and large quantities of drugs from two properties.”
“We are fully committed to keeping our communities safe and these raids are based on solid intelligence.”
