Eleven Busted in Major County Lines Drug Raids in Enfield and Tottenham
Eleven males, aged 17 to 27, were arrested in a swoop on 11 addresses across Enfield and Tottenham on Tuesday, 28 July. The operation targeted notorious County Lines drug networks spreading from London into the counties.
Met Police Strike Back at County Lines Networks
Detective Sergeant Kearney from the Met’s Specialist Crime North said: “The Met is laser-focused on shutting down county lines routes. Arrests like these are key to dismantling organised gangs exploiting young, vulnerable people to push drugs outside London.”
He warned that extreme violence is often tied to the drug trade: “By stopping County Lines and those who run them, we’re hitting violent crime right where it hurts.”
Drugs, Machetes and Hydraulic Press Seized
During searches, officers recovered large amounts of Class A drugs, a hydraulic press used to package drugs, and machetes. The raids were supported by the Territorial Support Group and Dog Unit.
Public Help Crucial to Cracking Down Crime
DS Kearney urged the public to come forward with tips: “We rely on local intelligence to build these operations and arrest criminals who ruin communities. If you see suspect activity, please get in touch.”
The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
