Woman Sprayed With Mystery Substance
The Met Police confirmed officers were called at 11:57am following reports that a man approached a woman outside the Gravity Amusement Centre and sprayed an unknown liquid towards her face, causing a painful stinging sensation.
A Met spokesperson said: “Police were called at 11:57am on Wednesday, 9 October to a report of an incident on Wandsworth High Street. Officers attended and spoke to a woman, who said a man had approached her and sprayed an unknown substance towards her face, which caused stinging.”
Man Arrested, Area Cordoned Off
Quick police work led to a man being arrested nearby and taken into custody. The area around the shopping centre remains sealed off as officers continue collecting evidence and investigating the circumstances.
Public Urged to Avoid the Scene
