Serious Incident Shuts Down Key Road Near Herne Bay

Police and paramedics rushed to Bullock Stone Road near Greenhill in Herne Bay after a serious incident early Tuesday morning.

The road was closed in both directions shortly before 7am as emergency teams responded to the unfolding situation.

HART Paramedics and Kent Police on Scene

A specialised team of HART paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service joined Kent Police officers at the scene to manage the incident.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes as the closure affects traffic along the A299 Thanet Way between Whitstable and Herne Bay.

Kent Police Issue Public Safety Warning

Officers were called to Bullockstone Road near Herne Bay at 6.35am on Tuesday 24 August 2021 following concern for a man,” a Kent Police spokesman confirmed.

“The A299 Thanet Way remains closed in both directions between the Clapham Hill junction at Whitstable and the A291 at Herne Bay. Please avoid the area where possible.”
