Blaze at Vacant Eastbourne Home Sparks Urgent Police Appeal

A fire tore through a vacant property on Kings Drive, Eastbourne, in the early hours of Monday, January 13. Emergency crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue rushed to the scene just before 1 a.m. and quickly doused the flames.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the blaze.

Police Launch Probe into Suspicious Fire

Sussex Police have teamed up with firefighters to get to the bottom of the fire’s cause. They’re treating the incident as a top priority and want to hear from anyone who was near Kings Drive around the time of the fire.

Authorities are especially keen to speak to witnesses who spotted anything suspicious and urge residents with CCTV, dash cams, or doorbell cameras to check their footage for clues.

“We are working closely with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to investigate this incident. Any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could prove crucial to our inquiries,” said a Sussex Police spokesperson.
